Art, Nature & Innovation: The Heli Statue Unveiling and “The Blue Deer Story” Exhibition at Helinox Seoul
On July 3rd, at the Helinox Creative Center (HCC) in Hannam, Seoul, we proudly hosted a special event marking the unveiling of the Heli bronze statue and the opening of the “The Blue Deer Story” exhibition, a powerful celebration of creativity, identity, and storytelling through design. The event was a resounding success, drawing a vibrant audience of art lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, and Helinox community members.
Honoring the Creation of Heli: From Sketch to Sculpture
This event shined a spotlight on the creative journey behind Heli, a character born from the imagination of Oscar-nominated animation director Erick Oh. The exhibition traced Heli’s origin story and development, culminating in the statue sculpted by the renowned Andrea Blasich, a sculptor whose work spans over 30 years with leading studios like Pixar, DreamWorks, and Disney. The unveiling was the emotional climax of the day, a symbolic moment where art, nature, and craftsmanship came together to reflect Helinox’s brand story.
A Celebration of Process and Performance
In addition to the exhibition, the event offered a rare opportunity to experience the artistic process live. Erick Oh captivated the audience with a live drawing session, offering insight into his storytelling approach. Andrea Blasich gave a live clay modeling performance, showcasing the sculptural artistry that brought Heli into physical form. These sessions allowed guests to engage deeply with the creators and understand the philosophy and emotion behind their work.

Heli & Nox: Characters That Embody the Helinox Spirit
Created by Erick Oh, Heli and Nox are much more than visual icons, they represent dual forces within the human and outdoor experience: Heli is a symbol of curiosity, lightness, and exploration. Nox expresses introspection, endurance, and inner strength. Together, they embody Helinox’s commitment to balance, design innovation, and emotional storytelling, forming a narrative that resonates across art and adventure alike.

The Blue Deer Story: A Collaborative Collection and Exhibition
In celebration of the Heli statue and exhibition, Helinox introduced a limited-edition collaboration with BDNS and Erick Oh, titled The Blue Deer Story. This collection commemorates Heli's symbolic "landing" at HCC Seoul and blends storytelling with function through clothing, accessories, and collectible prints. The collection features a playful encounter between Helinox’s Heli and BDNS’s character Moonttaeng-i, imagined through products and illustrated posters that are exclusively available at HCC Seoul.

A New Chapter for the Cultural Identity of Helinox
With this event and collection, Helinox takes a bold step forward in evolving its character universe into a cultural and artistic asset. Heli is no longer just a character but a central figure in the brand’s storytelling strategy and emotional connection with its audience.
