Sustainability &

Environmental responsability

Helinox is a community of passionate outdoor enthusiasts who recognise the impact of our actions have on our environment and society. Our products are designed and manufactured to minimise the footprint we leave behind. Our team is built to recognise that where we are is not where we’ll be. Through trial & error and consistent improvement, we will travel far together.

Long lasting and respectful products

Proprietary aluminium

The majority of our frames are made from a proprietary and premium quality aluminium alloy manufactured by Dongah Aluminium Corporation (DAC). DAC's exclusive
"green anodisation" process removes the need for harmful chemicals and the subsequent wastewater needed to dispose of the chemicals post-treatment.

Designed for life

We firmly believe in the motto: “Buy Quality, Buy Once” and we back it up with our category-defining 5-year warranty promise on our products. We design our products to be durable, long-lasting and repairable. We recognize that a bent leg pole should not result in the disposal of the chair.

Environment-friendly design

Our goal is to design products that last over time to avoid waste and overconsumption. From design to production, Helinox focus on the material choice, the quality and the condition of making and the carbon footprint optimization.

Carbon Footprint Reduction

Helinox is committed to reducing our carbon footprint.  We have pledged to halve our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by 2030 with a baseline year of 2022 and to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.  We report on our yearly progress through the SME Climate Hub ( https://smeclimatehub.org) and OIA Climate Action Corp. (https://outdoorindustry.org/climateaction)

BlueSign®

Our fabrics are BlueSign® certified.
From the entire supply chain to the final product, we follow strict production processes to offer environmentally and socially responsible products.

Social Responsibility

We are committed to fair and transparent labor practices across our supply chain.  To that end, our Supplier Code of Conduct is publicly available. We are also using the HIGG Factory Environmental Module as a way to track our partner suppliers' progress and reduce audit fatigue for suppliers.

Our design and development team work with third-party auditors to ensure our manufacturing partners adhere to our factory code of conduct.

Sustainable and recycle materials

Our goal is to source 90% of our polyester from recycled sources and to offer PFC-free water-repellent coatings.
