Contemporary artist Meguru Yamaguchi, based in Brooklyn, NY, collaborates with Helinox to release a special collection.

For this collaboration, Yamaguchi's signature brushstroke technique has been incorporated into Helinox’s standard models, "Chair One" and "Table One Hard Top," resulting in a uniquely artistic collection.

In addition to furniture, the lineup also includes a T-shirt, cap, Sacoche Lite #2, and eco bag. A launch party will also be held at HCC Tokyo, where Meguru Yamaguchi himself will be present to celebrate the collaboration.

Biography Meguru Yamaguchi

Born in 1984, originally from Shibuya, Tokyo. Moved to the U.S. in 2007 and is currently based in Brooklyn, New York, working as a contemporary artist.

He develops a diverse range of works that explore the potential of the fundamental element of pictorial expression: "brushstrokes" (筆跡 / brush strokes).

In the representative series "OUT OF BOUNDS", the concept revolves around transcending fixed ideas, rules, borders, and boundaries, as well as expanding the possibilities of painting.

Instead of using traditional canvases, which inherently restrict the range of brushstrokes, the artist employs a unique technique that materialises the brushstroke itself as a tangible form. This approach results in dynamic and three-dimensional works.

Having grown up experiencing the evolution of Tokyo's street culture from the 1990s to the early 2000s, the artist later moved to the United States and collaborated with leading brands in American street culture such as ALIFE, BILLIONAIRE BOYS CLUB, FTC, and NIKE, as well as global companies like FENDI, ISSEY MIYAKE MEN, LEVI’S, OAKLEY, and UNIQLO.

Additionally, in 2024, the artist contributed artwork for the official uniform of Japan's national men's table tennis team, dispatched by the Japan Table Tennis Association. His works are housed in institutions such as the Gunma Prefectural Museum of Modern Art, Gifu Prefectural Museum of Art, and the FENDI Foundation. His most recent book, "OUT OF BOUNDS", was published by Bijutsu Shuppan-sha.
