Leica Unveils A Unique Collaboration With Helinox

Helinox's Rewind: Leica Camera unveiled Collaboration Collection with Helinox in 2021

The limited edition collection released is based on two models of Leica Camera's 'Q2' and 'D-Lux 7' cameras, and each featuring a different Helinox logo engraved on the surface of the top plate, and a special leather materials used on the grip of the models.

Leica 'Q2'

The Q2 collection was produced in a limited quantity of 60 sets. The Leica Q2 is a high-performance model equipped with a 47-megapixel full-frame sensor, the original Leica Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH. lens and a high-resolution full-frame CMOS sensor, which realises clear images with a 3.68 megapixel OLED electronic viewfinder. It is also the only camera in its class to be equipped with a protective seal (IP 52 grade), making it dustproof and moistureproof, suitable for outdoor shooting. The collection consists of a camera, a Helinox chair, a field office, a camera case, and a leather strap.

Leica D-Lux 7

The D-Lux 7 collection was produced in a limited quantity of 220 sets. The D-Lux 7, a compact model compared to the Q2 model, is a camera equipped with a 17-megapixel Four Thirds sensor and a 24-75mm (35mm equivalent) zoom lens. It features a fast autofocus function that shoots up to 11 frames per second, and video shooting is also easy. The collection consists of a camera, a Helinox chair, a camera case, and a silk strap that can be attached to the camera and worn on the wrist. Baekga, who is usually famous as a singer and photographer, and Jeong Seung-min, the CEO and designer of lifestyle brand TRVR, participated in this collaboration. They also appeared in the campaign video for the limited edition, and used the collection produced through this collaboration to create photo works that recorded their daily lives in Copenhagen, Denmark and Seoul according to their own concepts.
